Email programmes come with a button called – DELETE; so delete – end of the matter. I hear you whinning: “but they take so long to download”; “they fill my inbox”; “they contain pornography”, etc. One answer: Delete.

Actually, the porn Spam does present a bigger problem- for children of course, and the degree of insult they produce. To be honest, if your email is privacy protected, which it should be, then these problems can be partially avoided as well.

By the way, Spamhaus, a major Spam identifier, notes that 80% of Spam originates with just 20 groups.

So how does everyone suffer from over-reaction when dealing with Spam? How many genuine emails get blocked by Spam walls? I will use some examples of personal experience to show you the problems.

I have had important emails blocked just because I used an ISP that one of the 20 gangs had used for a period. This ISP was actually the major telephone service for a country, one that about 50% of the country’s residents used. Great response: close half a country’s international emails.

I have had emails blocked because I used the word, ‘free’. My project, is a free resource on the Internet. Now I cannot say free, and hundreds of schools write to me to ask if my Project is free. I have also had emails blocked because I said, “For adults working with children”; NO adults, obviously pornography.

A professor at a University asked me about my Project; he was considering doing research with me, but I could not reply to him: intrusive Spam wall.

How many international websites today do not include any email contact details, or go to great lengths to hide them? What is the point of a website if you cannot respond and communicate with the owner? Am I expected to make international phone calls, send letters, snail mail?

I can go on. The bottom line is that our fears of using a delete button have allowed us to start to lose one of the great technology innovations of this era: email.

Email is better than great: it is better than landing on the moon. How did we live without email? This amazing technology is being murdered by ourselves and our ridiculous, stupid over-reaction.

Men who enroll in the military service are now at risk for developing different mental health disorders, according to the Institute of Medicine. According to them, military service in a war zone increases a service members’ chance of developing post-traumatic stress disorder, other anxiety disorders, and depression. Serving in a war also increases the chances of alcohol abuse, accidental death, and suicide within the first few years after leaving the war zone. War veterans are also prone to marital and family conflict, including domestic violence due to their psychological and emotional distress. These trouble signs have prompted the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the scientific and medical evidence concerning associations between deployment-related stress and long term adverse effects on health.

Not long ago, I received a question from a customer that went something like this (I’ve edited out the personal details):

“Tony, I would really like to ask you a question and hopefully you will provide me a very honest answer.”

“I see many different opportunities available everyday via the mail, email, media, promotions, ebooks, etc.”

“Tony, I have a family to support and I want you to know that I am a born-again Christian and have a very good personal relationship with Jesus everyday of my life.”

“My problem is that I have searched and searched and I continue to search for a way to earn a good living for my family so my wife can quit working. HOW can I truly find the prosperity that God promises and wants for his children? What can I do in life?”

“I just got fired today after trying in-home sales and not meeting my monthly quota! I am NOT a high pressure salesman, but I do want to provide people with a good product or service. I really need to find a solution! Is it to start a website and provide info or products? I would GREATLY appreciate your honest answer!”

This question really boils down to…

“What can or should I *do* in life to find the financial success I’m seeking for me and my family?”

It’s an excellent question and one I’m asked practically every single day in one way or another.

In his book “The Personal Power Course”, Wallace D. Wattles, best known for his classic masterpiece “The Science of Getting Rich”, wrote:

“… you must know what you want to do. First, choose your business. Choose the one that seems most in line with your tastes, and which will require the use of your strongest faculties. Select for your life work the thing you most WANT to do. Do not become possessed by the idea that you must be fixed by circumstances in some business or profession which you do not like, and barred out from the one which you WOULD like. Even though you are making money, you are not successful so long as you are doing something you do not like to do, and not doing the thing you want to do. The man who feels that he is misplaced is neither wealthy nor successful. Perhaps the most essential part of wealth-culture consists in finding the place where you will be happy in your work. If you are not happy in your work, you are a slave.”

And, therein lies the key…

If you want to get rich, however you define rich for yourself, it’s vitally important for you to decide what *you* want to do based on what you *like* to do.

Here’s the deal…

You can get rich in *any* business or profession.

Let me repeat that…

You can get rich in *any* business or profession!

Don’t believe me?

Just take a look around you and you’ll see there are people who got rich in *every* conceivable business and profession.

No further proof is necessary.

So…

Since it’s obvious you can get rich in any business or profession, why not chose a business or profession which you like?

You see…

Most people have this backwards. They put the “cart before the horse”, so to speak.

They decide they want to get rich and immediately start looking for a way or ways to make more money without any regard whatsoever to what they like to do or, just as important, what they *don’t* like to do.

In other words…

They look for a business or profession to get into based purely on the money they think they can make.

Now…

This may work for some.

However…

It’s never worked for me.

Whenever I’ve done anything purely for the money, which is exactly what I spent the majority of my life doing, not only was I absolutely miserable in the process but every single time, without exception, I failed!

So…

My “honest answer” is this…

First…

Ignore *all* the so-called “opportunities” floating around out there. More often than not, these so-called “opportunities”, regardless of whether they’re online or offline “opportunities”, are nothing more than the opportunity for someone else to get your hard-earned money!

Second…

Sit down and decide what it is *you* like to do.

Third…

*Think* of a way or ways to earn money doing what you like to do.

Although you may have to develop some abilities, skills, or talents to earn money doing what you like to do and/or you may have to temporarily do something you don’t like to do to earn money while you’re working towards earning money doing what you like to do…

Ultimately…

Doing what you like to do, combined with constructive thought and constructive action, will bring you the financial success you’re seeking for you and your family.

So, youre looking for a fundraising project for a school, sports team or construction project and youre thinking about engraved bricks. Brick fundraising is pretty simple, but what are the pitfalls?

We talked to Larry Cannon (www.bricksculpture.com), whos been engraving bricks for fundraisers since 1988. He offers the following advice before you embark on the campaign..

1.First look at your donor database. How likely are they to contribute to your new cause? Take nothing for granted. Dont assume that people will donate without a good strategy.

2.Think about who youre targeting. You should expect about 20% of your database to contribute. Buthow interested are they in your project? How committed are they? How are they doing financially?

4.Think about the best time to mail donation requests. Timing is everything in fundraising.

5.Think of the best way to word it. Should you play on their sympathies or emphasize that their name on a brick is a memorial will last beyond their life?

6.The project chair will make or break the project. Dont let just anyone do itget volunteers with the time and energy to put into the project.

7.How much money do you want to raise? Come into the project with an established goal.

8.Decide how much money people will donate to purchase a brick. Subtract the costs from the brick manufacturer and the difference is direct profit..

9.What about donor level appreciation? Do you want to honor different levels of donor contribution? If so.how? Some options are brick placement, size of bricks, number of words on the brick, emblems or logos on the bricks.

10.Can you get services donated? Does someone in the group know a brick mason wholl donate their time to lay the brick, build the wall or whatever? If not, the cost for hiring one must come from the raised donations.

Reflexes, blood pressure, eyesight and respiration -all are commonly checked during an annual physical exam. But often overlooked during checkups is what many call “the mirror of your health” – the feet.

The human foot often is the first to show initial signs of severe medical conditions, such as diabetes. That’s why the American Podiatric Medical Association is urging those at risk for diabetes to ask for foot exams during their regular checkups.

Diabetes affects 18 million Americans by keeping their bodies from producing or properly using insulin, which is needed to convert sugars, starches and other food into energy.

Unfortunately, many Americans – nearly 5.2 million, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention – are unaware they’re diabetic and don’t recognize the disease’s early warning signs, which usually occur in the feet.

When it’s too late, the consequences often are severe: heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, blindness, kidney disease and even amputation. In fact, diabetes is the leading cause of nontraumatic foot amputations each year.

The good news is there are ways to detect diabetes at its onset, before it does further damage.

“Early detection is paramount and something as simple as taking your shoes and socks off for a foot screening could assist in diagnosis of diabetes earlier,” said APMA President Dr. Lloyd Smith.

In fact, annual foot screenings could reduce diabetic foot amputations by as much as 85 percent, according to APMA.

Knowing foot-related diabetes warning signs also is vital in early detection. Alert a family physician or podiatrist to these signs:

* Redness.

* Numbness.

* Swelling.

* Feet feel cold to the touch from decreased blood circulation.

Racquetball demands all of the agility, grace, speed, and strategy of tennis, but to be a great racquetball player you also need tremendous reserves of power.

Racquetball is in some ways a more brutal game than its refined cousin tennis, and a large part of becoming a master of racquetball is simply being able to hit the ball faster and harder than your opponent. Because power is such an important part of the game, racquetball strings and balls are created to allow the players to make the fastest and hardest shots that physics will allow.

The rules of racquetball are relatively simple. In racquetball, you and a partner take turns hitting a rubber ball in such a way that it bounces once on the floor in front of you, hits the front wall, and returns. As in most games, the primary objective in racquetball is to win the game by getting the most points. You win points by hitting the ball in such a way that your opponent cant hit it back to you.

Points are only given to the serving side; the one that started the rally, or round, with the ball in hand. The most common end to a rally takes place when a player or team misses the ball twice, but there are several other ways for a rally to end. For example, if the ball touches a players body or clothing, the rally ends; or if the ball bounces more than once on the floor before being hit by a player. Most amateur games are played to fifteen points, but professional games usually stop at eleven. You win a racquetball match when you or your team win two games in a row.

The game of racquetball is a very fast paced and challenging one, so it is little wonder that so many people make racquetball a regular part of their fitness routine. The game provides a great cardio workout while also providing compelling strategic problems, which helps keep players interested at all levels of excellence. 1 Part Grain Alcohol (flammable liquid used by the Earth Liberation Front to burn SUVs)
1 Frozen Pond (the result of any number of man-made environmental catastrophes)
1 Dolphin (the pinnacle of creation, according to environmentalist wackos)

Instructions: First, cut several ice cubes from the surface of a frozen pond (these should be abundant due to the smog effect blocking the sun’s rays in preparation for the coming ice age). Avoid using a freezer to produce your ice cubes, because freezers are a capitalist-concocted first cousin of man’s worst enemy the air conditioner. Next, combine ingredients (along with your pond cubes) in your own cupped hands. Don’t you dare use a glass instead of your hands, because the process of making glass destroys Mother Earth.

Origin: This adult beverage is named in honor of environmentalist wackos, a fringe movement (not to be confused with serious and responsible ecology-minded people) that believes mankind is the greatest threat to nature, seeks to destroy private property, and longs to establish a socialist regime to impose their nuttiness on the rest of us.

Special Note: For years environmentalist wackos have told us that dolphins are superior to humans despite the absence of dolphin highways, libraries, or institutions of higher learning. But for all their supposed brilliance, I challenge any environmentalist wacko to find a dolphin that can make an adult beverage as good as this one!

EL RUSHBO

Glass: A Highball Glass Emblazoned with the EIB Network Logo

Ingredients:

1 Part Rum (shares the first two letters of its name with Rush!)
2 Parts Blue Gatorade (consumed while playing a round of golf in honor of Rush)
2 Parts Sprite (in recognition of capitalist lemon-lime soda companies)
1 Prestigious Attila the Hun Chair (symbolic of complete radio industry dominance)
Talent on Loan From God (why liberals dont stand a chance against El Rushbo)

Instructions: Utilizing talent on loan from God (assuming that, unlike most liberals, you acknowledge the existence of God), combine ingredients in a highball glass emblazoned with the EIB logo and top off with whipped cream (but please use the whipped cream in this adult beverage recipe the way Rush would use it and not in the manner in which Bill Clinton would use it). Enjoy from the comfortable confines of your own Attila the Hun chair, the undisputed seat of talk-radio industry power.

Origin: This dittohead adult beverage is affectionately named in honor of Rush Limbaugh lover of mankind, protector of motherhood, supporter of fatherhood (in most instances), general all-around good guy, and a man designated by the US Department of Education as a bona fide weapon of mass instruction.

Special Note: This adult beverage is documented to almost always taste great, 96.712 percent of the time, just as El Rushbo is documented to be almost always right, 97.963 percent of the time!

Its the end of another four year wait the World Cup has rolled around again and this time were off to Germany. On Saturday the 10th of July in Frankfurt, at 3.00pm, England will kick off against Paraguay in the FIFA World Cup group B and now is the time to ask yourself: where will you be?

Sinus Headaches:

Symptoms: Deep and constant pain in the cheekbones, forehead or bridge of the nose that usually intensifies with sudden head movement or straining

Causes: Sinus congestion and inflammation

Treatment: Focuses around relieving sinus pressure and possible.infection with antibiotics, antihistamines, decongestants or anti-inflammatory medications
