I always keep a couple of plastic bags in my golf bag these days, because they are perfect for keeping some of clothes dry in case it has rained on the course. Last week, for example, I was playing with some friends when the heavens opened, and we couldn’t find adequate shelter anywhere.
Inside my plastic bag I had a towel, a spare shirt and sweater, and a golf glove, too, so once the rain had finished I could simply dry myself off and replace my clothing. Any golfer will tell you that playing with a wet glove is extremely difficult, because the clubs can easily slip out of the hand when playing a shot. It can be immensely frustrating.
My playing partners laughed when I took the plastic bag out of my golf bag, but I was the one who was smiling when I was able to complete my round without feeling soaked to the skin.
