Dogs and Their Food

Author: admin - Categories: Pets - Tags: , ,

It is most likely that when the wolf came to man’s fire it was because of scraps from man’s dinner. Feasting upon man’s refuse, the canine developed a bond with man that has lasted down the ages. Man took the dog and molded him to what he desired. Good hunting dogs, guard dogs, war dogs, herding dogs and much more.

The dog’s ability to adapt and change to fit mans needs has made him indispensable. The dog wasn’t a pet like he is today, but a worker along man’s side. He received for his work, food, scraps from the master’s table. Eskimos would feed their dogs a fish every other day.

Only the toy dogs are the ones that ladies kept as pets. Even they had to work for their keep. There is no better watch dog than a small, yapping dog.

In modern days, dogs have come into the home and become pets, their duty as herders, war dogs, hunters and so much more have faded away. They can relax and have fun in the sun while playing with the master’s kids. Their food has changed over the years also. Instead of table scraps people buy them dog food in cans or bags. It makes things so much easier and more convenient. German Shepherd training techniques have evolved over this time.

These foods can cause allergies in the dog’s sensitive system. Dog food allergies symptoms include scratching constantly, passing gas, needing to go out four or five times a night, biting his feet, legs, or tail and a change of personality. These are just some of the symptoms. While they are suffering through this, they are making your life a living hell. You don’t know what is wrong. It could be many things that are put into the dog’s food – artificial flavors, dyes, corn or wheat, even the meat such as chicken or beef can cause problems.

This is why hypoallergenic Dog Foods were created, to help your friend resume his life without suffering. This is an organic dog food that is easy to digest.

Introduce it to them slowly as it will take a week or so to get used to, but it will be worth it. Start off with a quarter of the new food and three-quarters old. Remember, this is a time of transition and your pet will get worse before he gets better. After a few days, switch to half and half, then three quarters and finally, after about two weeks, completely switch over. During this time limit his snacks to only his new food.

If your dog is sensitive to anything in the dog food, he will be better in no time! If not, you may want to see your local vet as there may be more serious issues.

How to Get Rid of Household Dusts

Dust can be annoying. Even if you don’t have allergies, it is terrifying to have dust sticking on you. Worst is, dust mites thrive in dusty areas and because they are microscopic you can’t see them. Even if these mites are too small, they can be eliminated by following simple steps at home. An air purifier with an HEPA filter can filter out airborne dust, molds and pet dander. However, since airborne dust settles on the floor after it has been disturbed, air purifier is not enough to eliminate dust mites. Reduce the amount of moisture to eliminate dust mites. Avoid upholstered furniture, stuffed toys, throw pillows, and carpeting as dust mites love to burrow into them. Cover your mattress and pillows with allergen barrier to prevent dust mites from reproducing in your bedding. Vacuum your carpet using the best vacuum for pet hair that has a high filtration bag so dust does not become airborne.
